ELEVEN18 Architecture was founded during the challenging economy of 2009.  Sitting at their kitchen tables, partners Mark Adams AIA, Kim McCann AIA, and Neke White spent their early days working late into the nights and talking about the future.

Although well known for their expertise in commercial architecture, the economics of those early years necessitated the pursuit of some unusual opportunities. There were some frigid mornings spent measuring the inside of a freezer and some gloomy afternoons visiting a dimly lit warehouse, but a healthy dose of perseverance allowed the firm to expand with the recovering economy.

The firm has continued to grow, gaining certification in multiple jurisdictions as a women’s business enterprise, developing long-term relationships with engineering team members, expanding interior design services and further diversifying the portfolio with projects in hospitality, residential, entertainment, industrial, and government.

Based on those early conversations, the firm’s organizational structure minimizes bureaucracy and focuses instead on building autonomy and mastery with team members as they focus on the work before them. This strategy has led to over 14 years of providing great service and great designs to clients. And while today the work is performed in an open studio near downtown Orlando, late nights are still a part of the agenda.
