ELEVEN18 spent a day at the University of Florida (UF) on Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. During the visit, we met with UF students for the 2020 Design, Construction and Planning (DCP) Industry Expo.

A swamp filled with gators swarmed the arena with their resumes in hand ready to be acknowledged and hopeful to land their dream job. Unique personalities approached ELEVEN18’s table with nervous but confident smiles and portfolios of projects they’re most proud of. From freshman to almost graduates, we greeted future architects, interior designers, sustainability majors and more.

With many eager to start their career in Orlando, Florida, others questioned if they qualified to work under our women’s business enterprise. We assured both males and females that although we are a women’s business enterprise it does not mean we only hire women, the majority is just owned by women.

Gator students made it a point to emphasize their skills with programs like AutoCAD, SketchUp Rhinoceros, and Revit. Their high knowledge of these programs helps meet one of the many requirements for working at ELEVEN18. We are excited to hire potential Gator students and keep the alumni list growing in our firm as our very own partners Kim McCann and Neke White are alumna’s from UF.
